Day 1: Arrival in Cochin (Kochi) On arrival at the Cochin Airport/Railway Station, our tour representative helps you with an assisted transfer to your hotel. Also known as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, Cochin or Kochi is one of the most famous cities of Kerala state. The city is dotted with several popular tourist attractions. As you reach the hotel, complete the check-in formalities. Now, you can relax for some time. In the evening, you can visit the local market where you can get your hands on some excellent spices, handicraft items and nuts.Overnight stay. Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing After breakfast, you partake in sightseeing, visiting the popular tourist attractions of Cochin. Notice that most of the city’s attractions hold a Portuguese, Dutch and British touch in their architecture. The first visit of the day is to the Jewish Synagogue which was erected way back in the year 1568. The walls of the synagogue have been adorned beautifully hand -painted Chinese tiles in white and blue colors. Next, visit the oldest European church in India, the St. Francis Church. Visit to the church is followed by a visit to the Dutch Palace, also known as the Mattancherry Palace. This palace is known for its attractive murals, Palanquins and other ancient possessions. Thereafter, get all set to visit one of the most popular attractions of Cochin, the Chinese fishing nets. The evening is scheduled for enjoying a Kathakali performance. Day 3: Cochin - Munnar (150Kms-4hrs) After breakfast proceed to Munnar, This small town in the Western Ghats is famous for its picture book towns, sprawling tea gardens, mist clad hills, sanctuaries and above all the climate is one of the most sought after tourist destination in India today. Munnar is the gateway of Hills in South India.On the way you can also watch the lovely waterfalls of Cheeyappara Valara and later Reach check in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Explore the rest of the day along with the nature. Overnight stay at the HotelResort. Day 4: Munnar sightseeing After breakfast proceed to Rajamalai, part of Eravikulam National Park which is the home for the highly endangered Nilgiri Thar. This place is the home for half of the worlds Nilgiri Thar Population. After that visit Mattupetty Dam were you can enjoy boating through the reservoir flanked with tea garden on one side and never ending Grass land on the other. The Echo point, famous for its echo phenomenon is a famous halting point for the tourists, Kundala is a picturesque town located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Evening Return to the resort and overnight stay. Day 5: Munnar - Thekkady (140km-4hrs) After breakfast proceed to Thekkady Periyar, a highly picturesque place ideal for unwinding. Upon arrival you will be taken to Resort. In the evening simmer down and gets refreshed enjoying a boat safari in the scenic Periyar Lake, occasionally winning the glance of some rare varieties of birds and animals at Periyar National Park. Return to hotel for an overnight stay Day 6: Thekkady - Alleppey (180km-5hrs) Wake up to the lap of nature. Take a relaxed breakfast. Then proceed to Alleppey. Alleppey in the last decade has grown from a little known backwater village to a world renowned tourist destination. The serene atmosphere will sooth your souls and refreshes your mind and body. Evening Visit Alleppey Beach and Free at leisure on the Beach. Overnight stay in the HotelResort. Day 7:Alleppey – Kumarkom After your breakfast from Thekkady hotel proceed to Kumarakom, which is 133 KM away and approximate travel time is 3 hours and 45 minutes. Check in the Kumarakom resort and enjoy your lunch. After noon relax in the Kumarakom resort premises. Evening go for an hour boating, during the trip you can enjoy the sun set and village life. Evening back to Kumarakom resort and have your dinner. Day 8: Kumarkom – Kovalam After breakfast, its the time for sightseeing around Kovalam and Thiruvananthapuram. Sightseeing locations includes Light House Beach, Vizhinjam lighthouse, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium, Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Napier Museum, Shankumugham Beach and Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. Evening back to resort and relax in the beach. Overnight at Kovalam. Day 9: Kovalam - Kanyakumari Morning relax some time in the Kovalam beach, have your breakfast from the Kovalam hotel and gets ready for checkout. Around 10 AM proceed to Kanyakumari, which is 90 KM away from Kovalam and approximate travel time is 2 hour 30 minutes.
